Hi again !

I’m Jaymie Constantino, a UX/UI designer based in New York City, but born and raised in South Florida. Prior to becoming a designer, I strived to improve character diversity and representation in the entertainment industry. Being a woman of color and in tech, it will always be important for me to advocate for myself and for others. To pursue this, I graduated from the University of Florida where I studied animation, game design and sociology.

However, when I learned about UX design I realized my background could bring great value to this design process. Animation taught me the art of storytelling, game design taught me how to build interactive experiences and sociology taught me how to conduct and interpret research. With these transferable skills, I became the creative, user-centered UX designer I am today.

What I love about UX design is its ability to improve our lives and our communities. I hope to continue positively impacting my users by integrating accessibility and inclusivity into my workflows.

Outside of designing—

• At the top of my bucket list is to travel the different islands of the Philippines, where my family is from

• I’m a huge fan of the Miami Heat basketball team

• I enjoy taking long walks with my American Bulldog

• My personality type is INFJ, an Advocate
